Hi all!
I'm linking up with Fierce in Fourth for her First Day Jitters Blog Hop. I'm sure we've all read the book to our students at some point, but she wants to know some of our worries!
1. I'm in a new district and school. Again. I always worry about working with new colleagues, administration and learning the new curriculum. And if my kids will like me.
2. I'm moving out on my own for the first time ever. Little nervous about how it is going to go, but excited to have my own space, and not have to commute very far.
3. I'm jittery about how the curriculum stuff is going to go. The whole district has a new literacy program, so we'll all get training in that, but I haven't been impressed with the Math and I'm wondering what the principal will require for lesson plans and how I am going to integrate CC into it (if the district is even there yet).
Well, those are my jitters! Go check out this fun blog hop!
Smiles and Sunshine,

I remember when I first moved out three years ago...I was also very nervous. But, now I love it! You will too! It is fantastic to have your own space, especially when you get off from a long day of teaching! :)

Blessings of Teaching
Hi there, I just found (and followed) your blog. This will be my first year teaching 4th grade and I am quite nervous as well. As for moving out, I did so a year ago and it was the best decision of my life :) It was tough adjusting to being on my own but now, I couldn't imagine it any other way! As teachers, we spend so much of our time caring for other people that its easy to forget about ourselves. Make your new place a representation of you. Decorate it in such a way that when you walk in you just feel a load being lifted off of your shoulders. You are going to love it!

Tales of a 4th grade teacher and a newbie blogger!!
I think you will LOVE having your own place! I know I did. I still tease my husband and ask if I can get my own apartment! Having your own haven is essential.

I found your blog through the blog hop. I'm your newest follower. Moving out on your own, as well as starting a new job/position is stressful and difficult, but also very rewarding. You'll do fine! Good luck this school year with your new position! :) I'm a blogging newbie and would love to have you hop on over to check out and follow my blog.
