This Week in 4th Grade...and a Giveaway!

Hello Peeps!

I hope you all have had a wonderful week in school. We worked really hard this week, learning about our state government, shapes, angles and graphing, how to work through our centers during Literacy block, as well as practicing our listening skills. Take a look:

For our Social Studies, we have been talking about the three branches of the government and their jobs/roles and responsibilities. I am using Buzzing with Ms B's Government Pack for this...it's an awesome resource for 3-5!

I switched this from US Government to our State Government...but sorry! you can't see!

We have also been reviewing Shapes and Angles...My kids did an AWESOME job with the angles...they knew them all!

When I made this last year, I did it with triangles...so I covered them up for this year!

We also started our Reading Rotations! They've been doing a fairly good job with it...On Wednesday I timed the rotations and walked them through it, and today and yesterday I told them to move on once they finished one...it went pretty well!
These are our Rotation Bookmarks...they will have them for a week and rotate through every day. I doubled up on the EEKK Reading to make sure I had enough friends to EEKK Read :) Read to Self is last, so if they haven't finished any work from previous days, or if it takes them a really long time, they are not missing any critical assignments.

On Monday, I noticed that I had surpassed 150 followers! Therefore, a giveaway! The Prize: a $15 giftcard to Amazon. Time frame: From tonight to Tuesday Night. I'll pull a winner Tuesday/Wednesday and announce it then. Good Luck!

Ummmm going to sound silly here but I dunno what a GFC is ( in your giveaway part where it needs a name, so I just popped my real name in there. LOL

  18. I love the rotation bookmarks! I think I need to make something similar. Right now, I'm letting them choose their own order. What is happening so far is that almost everyone reads to self first, then reads to partner, then does word work. There aren't enough word work supplies for that!
