New Teacher Days & Report Cards

Today's Outfit
Sweater & Jeans: JC Penny
Shoes: Target

Today was a New Teacher work day. So I was at school.

Notice anything different?....

That's right! I got to wear jeans today! :D (which I cleared with my principal before hand).

I was able to get a good start on my report cards, as well as some odds and ends done as well (as well as chatting with other teachers who took time to come in today...even though they didn't have too.)

Tomorrow we have a 2 hour staff meeting on inclusion. Yay! (insert sarcasm)

So our report cards are basically an excel sheet...and they don't give a heck of a lot of information (or really any information) (hence the reason I'm on the Report Card Committee). The grades aren't explained well--although the upper grades grade using ABCD, it doesn't equate to the ABCD that we know...soooo confusion.

Hopefully the work we do with the Report Card Committee can clarify things (which I believe it will-that was a point that everyone made), as well as make it more informational for the parents and aligning it to the Common Core.

On Parent-Teacher Conference Day (the week of Thanksgiving), we'll go over the report cards. Hopefully mine will all go smoothly.

In other news...I voted...did you?

Smiles and Sunshine,
Kaitlyn
