Monday Made It

Happy Monday!
Most of my made-its this week consisted of printing and cutting out of some awesome resources!

These are The Brown Bag Teacher's awesome Reading Comprehension Subway art! I love the colors, and they'll look wonderful in my classroom!

I scored a HUGE amount of task cards from Teaching with a Mountain View...I'm still in the process of printing them and cutting them out! (If you want to see all I got, go here!)

I got this at the May TPT sale and finally printed it out! Kristine Nannini did an awesome job with this! I was going to put it into a binder...but, well-

look at how thick it is (and that's printing double-sided, btw!)! I'm going to have it bound instead. :)
I've also been working on something for my classroom (which I still haven't been in yet-I'll have to haul my lazy butt in this week!).

All last year (and the year before!), I've been really on my kids to explain their thinking and show me how they got their answer.

After thinking about, I created something that will help!
A Show How You Know board! This will give the kids some examples of how they can explain their thinking in Math and Reading. Hopefully, we'll be better at it this year!
I've also gotten in a little hooky time as well-I've worked 3 new squares for my different square blanket!
Eventually, I hope to have around 60ish squares-I'm about a 1/3 of the way there.

I'm not in any hurry to finish-this is a project I pull out when I want something quick! I did these three last night while watching classic Doctor Who (well, what Amazon Prime has to offer-which is nowhere near the amount of episodes made!)

Good luck to those that have started school already-for the rest, enjoy the little summer left!

Smiles and Sunshine,
Kaitlyn

  1. Your crochet squares look great - I started a patchwork knitted blanket years and years ago but and still less than a quarter of the way finished! You've inspired me to get it out again this summer!

  2. Always happy to find another 4th grade teacher to follow! I tried crocheting when I was pregnant the first time, as soon as my daughter was born, that was it. I don't know whatever happened to my 1 1/2 foot long scarf...
